Dragons, Serpents and Thunderbirds – Oh My!

Decades ago, when i first read the Wizard of EarthSea, by Ursula K. Le

Guin, i was blown away by the main character’s encounter of a Dark

Destructive Source.  “Ged” had pursued his “enemy” through Towns and

Wildernesses in search of the Name for His Nemesis….for that was the

“key” to defeat ‘him’.  In the final  “show down” the name that came

through Ged’s lips to address the Dark Entity was His OWN.

 

That Story spoke more to me about the Archetype of “Shadow” than

anything I have read since.  It also reflected the Jesus stories of

Naming the inner demons. in order to be Whole.  It can give us a

starting place to deal with AND TRANSFORM  our “Shadow” feelings of

Threat, Anger, Fear, Violation, Sabotage and Betrayal into Sources of

Compassion.

It starts Within…

where the “Shadow” energy is in OUR BODY

and trusting our Own Inner Guidance.

 

A while back one of the videos I watched on the Ascension

possibilities for 2012 was about moving into the Age of Fearlessness….

into an age when Unconditional Love Moves into All our Inner Places

transforming  our Shadow into Compassion.  The Image that “evoked” the

most energy in me was one of a man nose to nose with the venomous

Cobra….doesn’t take too much imagination to substitute a fierce

Dragon…….

We Stand IN the Threshold of a New Year,

that releases these very Archetypes

Into the Collective Consciousness…..

the Mayan SOLAR Year of the Celestial Serpent

and the Chinese LUNAR Year of the Dragon that begins with the

New Moon  January 23, 2012.

 

As strange as it may seem, looking at these Archtypes through the

world of Christian Mysteries celebrated in a year can offer us a

whole New depth of Power and Understanding of

Being Part of a Global  Manifestation of a Healing Christ ENERGY….

A Christ

who’s Resurrected  and Ascended BODY AND SELF

was Compared to Moses raising a Bronze Snake on a Staff

for the Healing of a wilderness people,…..

all who Perceived the RAISED SERPENT was made whole.

 

Images of Serpents, Dragons & Thunderbirds (Oh My!!…~_~) are about

Archetypal powers of the deepest Primal Life Force that exits.

Snakes, Dragons and Thunderbirds …

are

An INVITATION for TRANSMUTATION & TRANSFORMATION

of SHADOW INTO LIGHT.

The Adventure and Challenge for us in this Next Year

Is to go Nose to Nose

and I to i

with those Shadow Dragons within

in order to “access”

the Hidden GIFT

of a Primal Life Force

that is

REQUIRED

to surrender to the InDwelling Spirit of Light,

So We may be AT ONE with ourselves first of all.

 

Which means, in the way i use “Sacred Stories”, that we need to

Acknowledge the “Serpent” energy already within our beings and

ENCOUNTER IT FOR WHAT IT IS,

NOT WHAT WE HAVE BEEN CONDITIONED TO “BELIEVE” IT IS.

 

It’s kind of like treating anything that stirs Shadow feelings in

ourselves as a Rumour, and needing to Discover the Truth AND LIGHT for

OURSELVES.

 

In my own “Shedding” of the Layers of “Religious” and Societal

conditioning i have had to look eyeball to eyeball in an energetic

image that was damned as a representation of an Anti-Christ and

Anti-God force.

 

Yet, even Judaic – Christian Scriptures speak of the wonder that in

G~d’s Presence,

“Even the Darkness is not Dark to Thee”.

 

The Shadow and Fearful places of ourselves

are where the Abandoned and Abused Child dwells.

 

The Conditioning most of us need to disengage from

is the tendency to chastise ourselves

because our “Fears and Wounds” are still showing….

Reminiscent, I am sad to say,

of  how  Shell shocked Soldiers

were given Shock Treatment to “shake the Fear” out of them

because Fear was considered so “unpatriotic” and “unmanly”.

 

There is an Invitation in this Dragon and Celestial Serpent Year

to remind Ourselves

that as  a people seeking to Live in Light and Love

it IS OUR OWN Compassionate Presence

to All that creates Chaos & Dis~Ease in our Life

that WE need to Cultivate FIRST AND FOREMOST….

because it is only Unconditional Love that Touches the ROOT

Source.

 

THE GOOD NEWS is that our own

Inner Connection to the Universal Divine Intelligence

Can guide us through Generational, Cultural and Religious

Thoughtforms, that have Imprisoned our Consciousness

thus limiting our Choices for Experiencing Life in all it’s Tender

Fullness.

 

When we learn Be Kind our “unloveable” places

we will discover

a LIFE FORCE/LIGHT FORCE

that Can Shift

entrenched Patterns and Blocks

that have Wired us into Distress and Unhappiness…..

 

This Serpent of Light, Hidden by a Shadow of Illusion

Can empower US

to Create Lives of  Peace, Justice, Adventure, and Joy.

 

The Flow of Life to Grow in Grace strengthens

When we Allow ourselves to Surrender to

this Primal Force of LOVE.

 

It gives room for

OUR Own Divine Self  to surge forth and Nourish

the hardened places of our heart

with a New Sense of

Welcome and Acceptance

It is a way to Learn, in our Body,

that Love truly does cast out fear….

 

by BEFRIENDING and ENCOUNTERING IT,

 

not BY BANISHING IT FROM THE REALM OF GOD

THAT I AM

and WE ARE.

 

There are No Dualities……Only One Light and One Truth, if we but Dare

to Go Eye to Eye with the Life Stealers that dwell in our own Body and

Soul.

 

i Hear the Spirit of Truth

reminding us that

Compassion for the Fear and ANGRY Places

IN ourselves

AND THUS OTHERS

is the only thing that

Transmutes & Transforms

AWARENESS

that ENERGIES of Feelings,

however elemental,

ARE THERE FOR OUR ABUNDANCE,

NOT for Torment.

 

It is a matter of remaining

COMPASSIONATLY PRESENT to the

Shadow places of grief/threat/fear/rage/darkness

Until we once again

can Breathe In and Out

the Breath of Light and Life.

 

Here at the Portal of a Year

of a Solar Celestial Serpent and

Lunar Dragon

the One Spirit Whispers in each of us:

 

“Be of Good Cheer and Peace….

Each Human Being

HAS THE POWER TO OVERCOME

The Dark Forces of this World from WITHIN.

 

Nourishing the Self with that which gives Joy,

and Loving Your Being

With the Grace of an Indwelling Spirit

Until You Behold Your Own Beauty

And At One Meant with all that is Light.”

A Potent year to Discover

That

Energy Follows Thought

and

Thus we have the  Power,

As Co~Creators

with the

Compassionate Consciousness of a Divine Intelligence

to  build a world that honours the need for Restorative Justice

and an Empathetic Humanity

on Earth as it is in “Heaven”.

 

May the year of a Serpent of Light and a Dragon of Compassion

inspire us to Embrace the Divinity of our Humanity

and live Kindness,

that we may Love our World as our Self.
